Other rarities offered by the BSI Trust include more than 70 issues of the Strand with non-Sherlockian writings by Conan Doyle, as well as a number of Sherlock Holmes first edition books.
Costa Rossakis donated all of this material to the BSI Trust in late 2019. Rossakis holds one of the world's greatest collections of Sherlockian material. He is a founder and former co-chair of the BSI Trust, and remains on its board. Costa has authored numerous articles on Sherlockian bibliography. In 2005 he won the Morley-Montgomery Award for the best BSJ article of the year. He co-edited the BSI Manuscript Series book The Worst Man in London (2019).
Heritage Auctions will offer these items in its December 9-10, 2021 Signature Book Auction #6241. Funds from the sale of this material will go to support BSI Trust activities.
